Fall 2012 Trends

I know I said that I would not be one of those bloggers that just pics of myself in the latest trends and feed into my own narcissism but...I also mentioned that this trend go round would be an exception because the new trends are absolute favourites of mine! Typically I do not like trends because many are simply not me, and I refuse to dress in a trend that does not go with my persona, I do change my style however there is a constant pattern of personalising and throw ins etc. I actually can't stand bloggers that are in a different trend every time one comes out and for the most part it gives them a blank persona because they just look like another fashionable girl/blogger.

Who I am and what this is.

                                              
 So that's me...my name is Bretagne-Alexandria. I love the colour blue and dressing my own way, if I like something AND it looks good on me I will wear it. I love blazers because I work in a customer service based area of IT and blazers give me such an upped professional look.

I am a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology(FIT) studying Fashion Merchandising and Management formerly a Fine Arts major. I am on the bollywood fusion dance team(MASTI) as well as a member of the Multicultural Association of South Asians Living in America(MASALA) and Anime Club. I am mentioning these things so that the reader can get a better sense of me and why I may have preferences towards certain things.

  I love this hat it was made by a designer/blogger friend of mine Annie Z. aka Anikachu(google her you will get some awesome hits she super adorable.  

 I have to say love trends and observing fashion however I am typically not one of those bloggers that takes tons of pics of myself wearing an interesting trend or some random outfit I have thrown together that I will use to indulge my self absorbed narcissism. This trend go round may be the exception though. (: 

Back to more on me though, this is my bf Ace (: He is currently studying at CCNY as psychology major and biology minor and is going to be starting grad school at Baruch next fall. He has a simply formal way of dressing and spends more on clothes(mostly designer dress shirts) than I do on some outfits but he looks good all the more. He is never out of style simply because his style is so classic it does not go out of style (Button down dress shirt and black/dark wash jeans). 

So that is pretty much me I want to be more adamant about my interest in fashion in this blog as well as share as much of it as possible.

On to the future.

The post I shared previously was the video to my final project of the semester for my fashion visual presentation's class. However I want to continue this blog, as what it was originally a way to show fashion in all it's form and live up to the name Sekai. So from now on I guess I will have to start partially over with an intro and some acknowledgements of new trends etc. I can't wait to see where this goes. (:
