Continuing on

For the next couple of blog posts I will be focusing on Valentine's Day in other cultures, starting off with fashion inspired outfits then moving on to accessories and finally gifts. The next post is a bit of a treat, it is one I have been reading about for a while and wanted to post and research more. I won't give out the topic yet but I will do an update post with the topic and an introduction of it prior to the actual post.

Valentine's Day (India)

While searching for a churidar kameez for the India National Day celebration/event I came across these Valentine's Day inspired saris. I have to say without a doubt these put my blue one to shame, and showed that I really should have looked more when I was shopping for Diwali.
The imagination used on these designs are so inspiring, especially the playing with the transparency of the fabric to make it appear as if certain designs are floating in there air. By fully utilising the many shades of pink these saris are the epitome of Valentine's Day.

Below are some churdar kameez also inspired for Valentine's Day, unlike with the saris seen above the transparency  of the fabric is not juggled with, instead it is the dying and design of the fabric that is. Making fade in colours, adding large jewels, and other patterns set these apart from the rest. When it comes to Indian and South Asian fashion in general I am always impressed with the colour use. It is unique, vibrant and clearly displays the artisans of the culture well.

Accessories:
Some nice accessories that would go well for Valentine's Day as well.
